CNA Certification in Washington DC
Within 24 months of successfully completing your CNA classes in Washington DC, you will need to take the National Nursing Assistant Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam. This exam is comprised of a written and hands-on demonstration to test your skills, abilities and knowledge of your CNA training. You will need to pass both parts of the exam in order to register in the DC Nursing Assistant Registry, which makes you eligible to be employed.
Maintaining Your Certification
Your certification or Registry entry will be valid for 2 years. Within 60 days of expiration you will receive a renewal form that must be completed to keep your certification active.
