CNA Classes in Connecticut

If you’re interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Constitution State, you’ll be pleased to learn that CNA classes in Connecticut are available both online and through traditional on-campus programs throughout the region. Accredited courses recognized by the Connecticut Department of Public Health are offered by vocational schools, community colleges and non-profit organizations (e.g. the United Way of Connecticut), and most of them can help you become eligible to test for your certification in as little as six weeks.

There are three main steps that must be completed in order for you to become recognized as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state:

  1. Complete a training program that is accredited by the Connecticut Department of Public Health
  2. Test for certification through Prometric within 24 months of completing your training
  3. Become listed on the Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry
